S. Sinclair was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on January 5th, 1993. His single mother who bounced from job to job, trying to keep the family afloat. Sinclair's love for art began when he befriended the son of a graphic designer, named Arthur Keevan, who made abstract art in his free time. Without a father figure, Sinclair looked up to Keevan to teach him the delicate technique of abstract art. Keevan taught Sinclair how to look at the world differently by seeing the beauty in everything. Sinclair immediately became a prodigy in his small town. He took inspiration from Gerhard Richter with his moody, but simple aesthetic.
Because he could not make enough money to help out his family in such a small town, Sinclair's best choice was to move to the United States to pursue his dreams. With $500 in his pocket, Sinclair moved to San Francisco, California to live with his cousin.
Sinclair got right to work when he arrived in America. He sold his first painting named Woods, Muir for $11,000 in an art gallery in Mill Valley, a small town just north of San Francisco. He continued to sell his high valued paintings to A-listers and well renowned connoisseurs.
